Big Day Out: Vaute Couture Fashion Show, NYC

17 Feb

I was lucky enough to score (and by score I mean, I won) tickets to the Vaute Couture Fashion Show in NYC on Monday from  ecorazzi.com.  This show was part of  The Green Shows, and was held at a nice little green condo building in the East Village.

I could not have asked for a better experience with my first fashion show. The ever-fabulous  Michael DuDell from ecorazzi.com introduced me to vegan internet phenoms, Chloe Jo Davis and Joshua Katcher.  I also had a moment to say hi to the  sweet as honey Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart – the creator of Vaute Couture.  All in all, a big day for this little introverted blogger!

The Vaute Couture A/W 2010 line is gorgeous, innovative and incredibly progressive .  This line is an expanded version of the 09 line and includes more of their signature chic looks as well as technical coats, accessories, and coats for men! All of Vaute Couture’s creations are made with recycled materials, and soy by-products. These beauties are made right in Chicago and never outsourced.  The entire VC line is great for anyone wanting to look hot and stay warm while not compromising their ethics, or dedication to the earth.

Want a preview of the 2010 Vaute Couture line?  You got it!

Thanks girls! I was very lucky to have an opportunity to go! It was lots of fun and everyone was so nice.

Weirdest part? There were FUR HAGS there. Who wears fur to a vegan fashion show? Strange.
  • I'm super jealous too. Fabulous post. Even more fabulous line!
