Mulled Wine

Ingredients
1 bottle of red wine
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
8 whole cloves
2 or 3 cinnamon sticks
2 star anise
1 nutmeg, cracked
ΒΌ cup agave or maple syrup, optional
Instructions
Combine all of the ingredients in a sauce pan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat and let simmer for about 15 minutes. Strain and serve warm.
