I’ve watched many films in the past few years that advocate a plant based diet, but none has ever done it as eloquently and as convincing as Forks Over Knives has. This film has saved countless lives and is on a promising path to save many more.
Forks Over Knives covers the work of Dr. T. Colin Campbell, author of The China Study, and examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting animal-based and processed foods.
One in every three people in the United States is overweight. At least 10% of our population has Diabetes and that rate is growing steadily every day. Todays children are said to be the first generation who will not live as long as their parents. These statistics are staggering. Yet, there is one thing in common with all of these facts – these afflictions are 100% controllable by a proper diet and lifestyle. Forks Over Knives does more than just wax poetic on this fact – they show it in action. What you see will change your life.
Forks Over Knives is a profoundly important film. If you care about your health and the health of your family and loved-ones, you will watch this movie and share your knowledge with the world.

I will spread the knowledge by hosting a Forks Over Knives viewing party (with delicious vegan food, of course) for my friends and family. Once I have them convinced how healthy and tasty a plant based diet is I’m sure they’ll be telling everyone they know about this movie.
Tamara says
I am a yoga instructor in the Chicagoland area and I would love to share this with my students as well as other teachers friends in the area. I am also a member of the Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple and I am sure that members there would love to see this as well.
Shanon Baldwin says
I have been wanting to see this for so long! I would love to have the DVD to share with friends and family – anyone who will watch!
Ellen says
As the representative town vegan, and second-in-charge on the Farmers’ Market volunteer staff, I will use the film to promote the fresh veggies we sell, by sharing it with everyone who will watch it. So many of the shoppers are interested in improving their diets, especially the older crowd. (I am also responsible for picking the recipes on the weekly newsletter, always fresh, low-fat and vegan. No one even notices that!)
Chelsea says
The conflict of interest leaves many people confused and many are just uneducated on the topics of health and nutrition. This could give me the chance to spread the word and educate so many!
xhonkytonkx says
totally would love to win a copy of this dvd to lend out to coworkers of both my husband and mine. I have read the china study and am constantly trying to get people to read it, but sometimes people either do not have the time or patience to read, so this would be perfect. plus sometimes SEEING something rather than reading words can hit the message home. i want to win this!!
Monica says
I wanna start a Forks Over Knives viewing club incorporating 2 old school methods: US Postal Service and the game Pass It On. I will watch with friends where I live and then mail the DVD to a friend and then they can watch it with their friends, then they will mail to a friend, and so on and so on…..
Robynwdann says
I am going to
use my DVD (and the knowledge gained from it) to spread the word and
create a nutritional revolution….
No seriously, I will!
I have yet to see the film and any more education i can use when omni’s ask me “why” the better!
Thanks!

I’m dying to see this film – I was out of town during it’s brief appearance at our local theater. I will watch it with my husband (who is still an omni), and pass it along to my meat-and-potatoes relatives.
Michelleldistel says
LOVED this movie (saw it at the theatres) and it IS what convinced my husband to go veg(an). This movie is phenomenal because it brings another perspective and educates on why veg is the best. If I win this dvd, I’ll be showing it to many friends/family that are constantly asking me veg questions. Many people wouldn’t pay movie theatre money if they aren’t curious enough, so by having a copy, I can spread the good word. Please send it my way!!!
Undertherose says
My step-sister is battling Crohn’s Disease. Maybe this could be helpful? Also, I’ve been trying to eat healthier lately. Convince me!
Michelle says
I can’t think of a better gift than that of FOK, it saves lives! I would love to be able to gift it to friends and family, who in turn could then pass it on, keeping the ripples growing of good healthy eating!
Bev Martin Hahler says
What a lovely giveaway! If I am lucky enough to win Forks Over Knives, then I will firstly get my husband to watch it to hopefully break his milk addiction! And then I will lend it to my MIL to watch, and believe me a lot of people will hear about it when she’s watched it!
Even if I do not win, I know that many people will benefit from watching the film, and that to me is the main prize.
Hyppolite27 says
I would love to get this DVD so that I can finally convince the omnivores in my surroundings that veganism is not only a healthy but also an ethical must. We know that images are more powerful than books – and as great as the China Study and other books are – they can never have the same impact as the moving image. Once I have the DVD, I intend on borrowing it to various people, including pen pals who live all over the world. That way I can have maximum impact and do my bit in the revolution. 🙂
Asia Ferguson says
I would love to win a copy as I missed the theater showing in my area and have my omni boyfriend watch it with me. I’d also invite family and friends over to view it, complete with delicious vegan snacks!
Brittany Andres says
I would like to educate my family and friends. I have gotten most of them to watch Food Inc which is a great start but hope to push them further.
Erin Madore says
Hello, it’s funny that you’re running this give-away because I just told my friends I would love to host a Dinner and Movie night at my place where I cooked a delicious Vegan dinner and showed the movie Forks Over Knives to encourage my friends and family to open their minds to a Vegan lifestyle.
I figure if I can get at least 2 people to consider it and make the change, and then they can get 2 people, it’ll help feed the revolution! Thanks!

Vegan pizza party and movie showing! That shows that vegan food is doable and why!

I plan to show this video to my family and friends.
Crystal Creamer says
If I get a copy of the Fork Over Knives DVD I would invite my friends/family over for a party to eat some yummy vegan food and watch this . I have family and friends who want to learn more about why meat and processed food are bad for them. This would be an excellent way to for them to get the questions answered. Afterwards I would give the Fork Over Knives to a local group who have meetings to teach people about healthy eating. This would make a difference in our little community. The FOK would let everyone know about their food and get good information to make a change in their diet for the better. I would greatly appericate a chance to at least make a difference in one person’s life with this DVD.
Erin says
I would watch it with my husband, who is flexitarian, and share my reaction to it on my blog, which is read by omni and veg friends and family members.
Jackie says
I need to see that movie! I’ve been excited about it since I first heard about it and missed the screening in my city. My friends, family, and coworkers already know how health-conscious I am and this dvd will only help to further equip me with more helpful information to pass on.
Raquel Moreno says
I would host a vegan potluck with all my friends and show the movie! That way people can see how easy it is to make vegan food while learning about all the amazing health and environmental reasons. I’ve really trying to become more active about sharing veganism and I think this would be a great start:)
Jaleesa Rashawn Johnson says
I would show it to my Vegan Club at school and sk the principle if we can display it in front of the whole school.
The Wife @ homeonthechange.com says
I would love to pass the DVD on to my in laws. This movie could save their lives.
Cadry says
I saw Forks Over Knives in the theatre and am convinced that it’s going to change hearts, minds, and lives. I’m excited to share this DVD with friends, family, and others near and dear who I want to feel empowered to live longer, healthier lives.
Nicole says
I will start by showing it to my four children and husband then to all of my friends and their friends!
Meghan says
My roommate and I are starting a monthly vegan brunch in our apartment next month. Armed with vegan cookbooks we’re going to share in the deliciousness with our other vegan friends and show the non-vegans the creativity and richness of vegan cooking.
We plan to watch a documentary after each of these brunches and to discuss practical ways that we can all make small changes in our lives to contribute to the greater good. The whole core of veganism! I would love to show “Forks Over Knives” at one of our brunches and have a discussion about how to implement nutritional changes in the lives of our friends to help improve our quality of life.
Laura says
I would love to win a copy of this DVD to share with my family and friends that think I am crazy for being vegan! My Mother had double bypass surgery just over a year ago and my 33 year old brother has heart disease as well. I try to talk to them about changing their diet but they don’t listen, but I think they would watch Forks over Knives and maybe then they would “get it”.
vegitreat says
My friends won’t go to a theater to watch a good movie like this but I can do stealth attacks with a dvd player and a vegan barbeque. It’s how I got the word out about Supersize Me and Food Inc. Keep hitting with the information and sooner or later it’s bound to sink in!
Megan says
I have been a vegan for over two years and am LOVING how my body feels! I’ve lost weight, my skin has cleared up, and I’ve learned to have a deeper appreciation for nature, animals, and humans than I ever imagined! I have recently been hired at a spa as a Skin Therapist Coach and I want to be able to host an event on nutrition and how eating can have an affect on your skin, so this would be a really great tool to incorporate!
Jeannine says
I saw it in the theatre, and would love to be able to send this to my dad. In fact I plan to buy the DVD pack to send to as many family & friends as possible! So the more I have the better 🙂
Julie Lynn says
I’d use mine to show to all of my family and friends so that they have the knowledge to make the best choice for their bodies. 🙂
Sara Werst87 says
I plan on showing this video to everyone in my office. Right now, we have been discussing ways to eat and live healthier. I saw this video and was completely blown away by the information given about the relationship between illness and food. I think that this video would really educate and inspire my fellow co-workers to live healthier lives!
Sheri says
My mother sells a supplement called Protandim. She is spreading the word of health through seminars and good old fashioned networking. If I had the FOK DVD I could join her by informing the masses about the benefits of a plant based diet, along with the supplement. We would be killing 2 birds with 1 stone 🙂
Patrick J Crowe says
I have been spreading the China Study throughout my family. So far, my wife and sister have converted to a vegan diet. This will help me convince the rest of my family and friends who are not willing to take the time to read the book.
Cindy N says
I’m in the process of making significant changes to my lifestyle. I’ve already made some changes, but am seriously contemplating changes to how I (and as a result, my family) eat and move (my activity). Too many people that I know, including myself, are developing chronic and in some cases, terminal diseases. Heart disease, diabetes, and cancer are the main diseases that are taking people in general and close to me far too early. I would like to use this DVD to educate myself, first and foremost, so as to be better informed when I make my eating and activity lifestyle changes. I would like these changes to be lasting rather than a phase that I go through. I would then like to lead by example for others to learn from me. My journey will begin in early September and I will be using twitter to share my experiences (@cinnymom).

I tweeted the giveaway information: https://twitter.com/#!/cinnymom/status/106108950902091776
Jamee Dyches says
I’ve been looking for a way to introduce my grandma, who has type 2 diabetes, to veganism and the world of plant-based nutrition. I don’t know that she’d stick to reading a book, but just about anyone would sit through a movie, right? I would love to share this with her, and hopefully show her that there is a way to stop her health problems without expensive pharmaceutical drugs.
John says
I’ve seen the film. I’d like to share it with my sister and mother. Over the past few years, they have put on a significant amount of weight. I think if they watch the film, they’ll, at the very least, consider reducing their animal product intake.
Meena says
If I won this movie I would literally watch it every weekend with all my friends, especially the ones who think that being a vegetarian is pointless. Perhaps I’d even convince them to go vegan!
Orangegirl31 says
I’m going to play the DVD for my husband, who is a big meat eater!
Christine617 says
I would use it to help convert some of my “on the fence” friends of a healthier lifestyle.
Dan Mitchell says
Having followed a Vegan diet for 8+ months, I have lost 25 lbs, reduced total cholesterol over 30% and total eliminated borderline diabetes. I can think of no better way to reinforce my message to my entire office then having a lunch and learn and invite all staff members and their families to view the documentary “Forks over Knives”.
Jesse says
I have not seen this yet, but really want to. I would use the knowledge from this movie to spread the word to all my family & friends as well as anyone else who are curious about a healthier lifestyle. I’ve already gotten one of my friends to go vegan! 🙂
Aimee Dars Ellis says
Depending on copyright restrictions, I would show the DVD to my class on Business Sustainability

This is a great contest! I plan to send this movie to my parents and friends who are supportive of me being vegan, but still don’t completely understand all the health implications.
