It has been a while since I’ve done a Happy Friday post. I’ve missed them! Have you?
Its summer! I’m adjusting to the super mild Pacific Northwestern summers. These 75 degree, humidity free and sunny days are a huge change from the scorching, suffocating, 95+ degree days of the east coast. This is something I can definitely get used to. My days of late have been spent working (like crazy), eating wonderful food, and still exploring the terrain. Doodlebug and I recently visited the Japanese Garden (on the most loveliest day ever!), and Rose Garden. We spent last weekend watching the family-friendly gay pride parade (what a big change from the NYC parade!) and relaxing. This weekend kicks off the Let it Live Conference – a huge animal rights conference being held at Portland State University. I will be attending, and if you are too then email me so we can rendezvous!
Very soon I will be embarking on another foray into the world of raw foods. Another month-long raw food challenge is on the horizon, would you like to join me? I am planning on the month of August. I have found that the peak of summer is the best time to embrace living foods because that is when our body is naturally craving them. If you would like to join me, then let me know so I can link to your blog or send you encouraging emails. It will be fun!
What is new with you? Any exciting summer adventures? Travel plans?

Hmmm. I am thinking about it now that I’m lazy enough to try to make raw food shakes every day it’s hot out. Which is essentially every single day?

I’m thinking of doing a meal plan, as someone had suggested. It will probably include a smoothie a day because I’m lazy too and I know you all don’t have time for a ton of prepping everyday!

I’d love to do it too! Do you need an Excalibur though? Because I don’t have one. Can I sun dry my food, ha ha! Seriously though, I’d love to try a raw diet, my skin is screaming for it!

Sweet! No dehydrator or juicer needed. I’m going to try to make this as low maintenance as possible.
