Love a relaxing Sunday afternoon with a cup of tea and some online shopping? So do we, so you can imagine how psyched we were to discover Modavanti, a new shopping destination for sustainable fashion. Promoting an eco-friendly approach to fashion, Modavanti, which means “fashion forward” in Italian, offers apparel and accessories that combine style and sustainability in a hip, trendy, “I want to wear it now!” kind of way.
The good news for vegan fashionistas is that on the Modavanti site, you can search for product by sustainability criteria – and “Vegan” is one of the brand’s sustainability badges (a few of the others are “Eco”, “Organic” and “Fairly Traded”). After a quick search, we found these click-worthy designs by Californian designer Heidi Merrick. The daughter of legendary surfboard shaper Al Merrick and surf-chick extraordinaire, Heidi creates edgy and wearable California-inspired looks that take any vegan fashionista from day to date and from office to cocktails…on the beach!
