I know I usually only post about vegan fashion but I love music and as a creative person it inspires me in so many different ways. It fuels my creativity, cheers me up when I’m feeling down & in general makes life just that much better. I’m always listening to tunes that inspire me when I’m writing a fashion post. Also music and fashion seem to naturally go hand in hand. Most bands/musicians have their own look and sense of style. Through a series of posts I’m going to share with you some bands & musicians that I admire for both their stellar music and their unique sense of style. I’ll also going to included an all vegan Polyvore set inspired by each musician/band I feature. I would love to know what musician’s/band’s music or style you dig. Comment below (leave a link if you got one) and I’ll make sure to check them out. I’m always looking for fashion inspiration & new music to listen to. So now without further ado here’s Part 1 of my Music & Fashion series.
Shingai Shoniwa Of The Noisettes
I’m a huge fan of The Noisettes. The lead singer Shingai Shoniwa has both an amazing voice and a killer sense of style. The rest of the band’s (Dan Smith & Jamie Morrison) style is pretty awesome too. I love this set they played for the Nylon Magazine’s staff members during their lunch break. You can see Shingai’s sense of style shining bright in this video. She’s wearing a pair of pretty amazing shoes, that personally I would fall over in.

Leila Moss of The Duke Spirit
I’m always listening to tunes that inspire me when I’m writing a fashion post. One of the bands who’s tunes motivate me is The Duke Spirit. I discovered them about 5 yrs ago and since then I’ve been hooked on their pure Rock & Roll sound. I’ve bought every album they’ve put out and I’m super stoked that they have a new one coming out soon. Leila Moss the lead singer of The Duke Spirit does not just sing pure Rock & Roll but she wears it too. She’s definitely my Rock & Roll style icon. I absolutely covet her unique sense of style. The whole band (Luke Ford, Toby Butler & Oliver Betts) in general have a pretty sweet sound and pretty awesome sense of style.

Adele
Now this girl can sing. I love her new album Adele 21 and I’m a huge fan of her song Rolling In The Deep. I’m also in awe of her sense of style which seems to be influenced like her music by an era gone by. Her on stage outfits are very reminiscent of fashion from the forties, fifties & sixties. Those 3 decades so happen to be my all time favourite decades for fashion.

Love it! Thank you so much Melanie 🙂
Debbie Harry is one of my icons too. Also, if you love Adele (THAT voice <3) you will love Esthero, both in fashion and in music.

I love that bomber jacket for Leila Moss, but they’re sold out! Any ideas on where I can find a similar one?! All the ones I come across are too cropped. Love this post by the way!
