We are pleased to announce that one of our favoritest Chic Vegan contributors, Kristy Cutsforth (veggiebeauty.com) has launched a new line of cosmetics catering to those who love and appreciate vegan and healthy makeup. As you may already know, Kristy is super knowledgeable about cosmetic ingredients and what they mean to us and our health. Please join Kristy as she shares her excitement with us and highlights her personal favorite items.
I’ve been planning, preparing, and fine tuning recipes for my new vegan makeup line since December of 2010. After much hard work, I’m proud to say that Pumpkin and Poppy Cosmetics is now available for purchase. I’m still learning and growing as a business woman, but I think the opening of my shop has gone very well and I feel so lucky to have so much support and interest in my line. I will be making my first shipment on Friday, and I can’t wait to get some feedback on my items! I use them myself and have been testing them, and I know I love them! My blend of mineral foundation has really helped improve the condition of my skin. It absorbs my skins natural oil and the silicia microspheres help to blur any fine lines or acne I have.
Great Items From The Pumpkin and Poppy Shop
Full Coverage Foundations ($11.25) : Rice Paper (Neutral Porcelain), Creamy Peach (fair), Cashew (lt. medium beige), Olive Branch (lt. medium olive), Chai (warm tan), Mocha (medium/dark)
Full Coverage Foundation Sampler (Pick 3 Colors) $2.50: This option is for those of you who need help picking a shade of foundation. You will get a teaspoon of 3 shades of your choice to test out
Rose Gold Blush ($8.50): This color is my version of NARS Orgasm blush. It is slightly pinker in tone and has more subtle gold shimmer. It is a universally flattering color, and it brings a nice, youthful glow to the skin!
I’ve made sure to formulate my products to be 100% vegan, and good for sensitive skin. I don’t use cheap fillers in my products – everything I use has a specific benefit to the skin and the quality of the product. No parabens, bismuth oxycholoride, or talc!
Every listing has a detailed description of the ingredients I use and what they are used for in the product. I plan on developing a line of bronzers, highlighters, and expanding the color selection of my blushes. I also ship internationally to several different countries. Any suggestions on what you’d like to see would be much appreciated!
