It’s hard to believe that’s it’s already June. It seems like just yesterday that I had the heat on the house, and I was cuddled up with blankets and a mug of warm herbal tea. Oh wait, it was yesterday. The weather has been wacky here, so it’s difficult to tell that time has passed, but since a new Vegan Cuts Beauty Box has arrived, I know that another month has come and gone.
If you’re a regular Chic Vegan reader, you have probably heard of the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box, but if you’re new here, you might know about it yet. That’s why I’m here! The Beauty Box is a subscription service that delivers sample (and sometimes full-sized) cruelty-free cosmetics and skin care products to your door every month. It’s a great way to find new brands and sample products without spending a lot of money. It’s also pretty perfect for newbie vegans who are just learning about cruelty-free brands.
I wait for the Beauty Box eagerly each month. It’s like a year round birthday present, because you never know what will be inside. Will there be makeup? Something pampering? Maybe a face cream? The May Vegan Beauty Box had all of those things!
The May Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Contained:
Pacificia Natural Lipstick – This creamy lipstick is formulated to hydrate and nourish lips. The “deeply devoted” color is long lasting, so you don’t have to keep reapplying throughout the day. It’s made with natural ingredients (because the lips is not a place that you want to apply chemicals), and colored with carrot, tomato, and beet extracts.
Athar’a Moroccan Coffee Eye Cream – The eyes are another place that you don’t want to apply chemicals (really, I don’t think there is a place where anyone wants to apply chemicals!), so this cream is formulated with organic plant butters and oils. It helps hydrate and it can reduce dark circles and wrinkles. Plus it smells like coffee, making it easy to get your java fix in the morning!
Lauren Brook Cosmetiques Pressed Eye Shadow – Once your eyes are hydrated, you can apply this natural eye shadow, which also contains plant oils. I’ve seen broccoli seed oil listed on a cosmetic ingredient list until now. This eye shadow goes on smoothly and lasts all day.
Pura Bath Salts – This bath salt infusion comes in a little pouch, making it easy to add to the bath. (Sort of like a big bath tub tea bag!) They combine mineral sea salts for their restorative properties, essential oils for their fragrance, and herbs and flowers for their curative properties. The Lost in Lavender blend is formulated to help you relax.
The Beauty Box is available as a monthly subscription, which means that once you sign up, a new box of products gets delivered to your door every month. If you like the samples in your box, you can order their full-sized counterpart from the Vegan Cuts Marketplace.
